Sunday the 26th of October saw the running of the VGL Men’s and Women’s Open and Men’s Presidents trophy.
96 players (38 in the Men’s Open, 19 in the Women’s Open and 39 in the Presidents Trophy) teed off at Churchill Park from 7:30am under ominous skies. The weather held off for a couple of hours before the heavens opened and Melbourne’s wettest day in 18 months flooded all the greens forcing the abandonment of the competition.
