The VGL is saddened to announce the passing of VGL Life Member June Robinson.
June was a Foundation Member and Life Member of Bundoora Park Ladies’ Golf Club formed in 1977 and in those days affiliated with Victorian Golf League Associates. She was a very active and enthusiastic member always willing to represent her club in Pennant, Bowls, Salvers and Charity Days. She served on the Committee in various positions including President and Captain.
In 1984 June joined the Executive Committee of the V.G.L.A as Vice President and in 1986 took over the role of President after the sudden death of President (Joan Hope). June served as President until 1989.
She received Life Membership of the V.G.L.A for her services and when affiliation with VGL occurred became a Life Member of VGL.
The VGL sends its condolences to June’s family and all those that were a part of June’s life.
