Last Sunday saw the conclusion to this year’s Men’s Pennant season which again was played at the Werribee Park Golf Course. For the second week in arow the course was in magnificent condition.
It was another early start, but the weather was much kinder this week as it wasn’t as cold.
There were 6 Finals this week with 3 off the 1st and 3 off the 10th.
Congratulations to all players and caddies for making the finals and a huge congratulations to the eventual winners.

Scratch Div 1 – Waterford Valley def Brighton 4:5 to 3.5
Scratch Div 2 – Lakeside def Brighton 2 – 6.5 to 1.5
Handicap Div 7 – Glen Waverley Red def Dorset Demons 5 to 3
Handicap Div 8 – Riverview def Wattle Park 4.5 to 3.5
Handicap Div 9 – Westgate 2 def Melbourne Samoa 6 to 2
Handicap Div 10 – Growling Frog Nelson def Nepean 6 to 2
Once again congratulations to all the winning teams.
These Finals take considerable amount of work to ensure the day is successful. I would like to thank our new Executive Manager Andrew Phillips for his efforts in coordinating the day. Thanks, heaps it’s not easy taking over but you did a fabulous job. Also, on the day thanks go to Judy and Peter Kingshott, Robin and George Weaver, Ian McMillan, Greg Lewin, Will Williams and Jeff McAvaney. Without your efforts the day would have been problematic. So, thank you one and all.
