Tuesday the 12th of February saw the first VGL Event for the 2026 season, the Seniors 4BBB event, take place. 39 pairs (six more than last year) took to Churchill Waverly (Waverly) Golf Club to represent their clubs.
In a close run event, it was the Northcote pair of Phil Moorby and Dale Spriggs that took out the trophy with 45 stableford points. For Dale it was the second time he had won the event after taking it out in 2023 with Peter Kann! Following close behind in 2nd place was Dan Doyle and Joe Dessmann from Wesgate with 44 points and in 3rd place was Robert Giles and Grujica Kitanovic from Forest Hills with 43 points.

There were four nearest the Pins were award for the following holes:
- Hole 3 – Tim SCRASE (Camberwell)
- Hole 9 – Paul CLAPHAM (Olinda)
- Hole 11 – Geoff THORNTON (Sandringham)
- Hole 13 – Darryle LARTER (Dorset)
Finally, along with getting the nearest to the pin on the 9th hole, Paul Clapham from Olinda also made an ace on the 147m 5th hole!
