On Sunday 31st of August the VGL Men’s Teams Event was held at Melbourne Airport Golf Club. Players from 22 clubs, including Keilor in their first appearance, made the trip to the course for a 7:30am shotgun start.
At the end of the day, it was Mount Martha who won the trophy for the first time since 1995, taking out the award in a countback (best 4th player score) from Northcote, preventing them from becoming the first club to win the event three years in a row. Northcote’s second team took finished third.

In the Individual Event only 8 of the 113 players who submitted a score managed to play to or better their handicap. Ben Robertson (Northcote) won the event on a countback from Kevin Falkingham (Mount Martha) with 41 points. Jake Croxon (Northcote) finished third with 40 points.
