On Monday the 19th the premier Women’s Event on the VGL calendar was held. The Joan Hope Memorial Salver, which was played at the Rosanna Golf Club. There were 72 Women ready to play at 7:30 start, but due to the very cold frosty morning the start was delayed by an hour.
It was so pleasing that 98.6% of the players were using the MiScore App, which meant basically all the scores where already finalised on the completion of the round. This meant it was easy for Pam Stephenson and the Women’s committee to ascertain the Winners.
Congratulations go to all players for braving the freezing conditions.
The winner of the Joan Hope Memorial Salver for 2025 was Deb Cunningham from Brighton Golf Club playing off 12 with 41 points. The B Grade winner was Brenda McGuirk from Albert Park Women’s Golf Club playing off 41 with 39 points.
After the game a fabulous light lunch was enjoyed and the Presentation made to the Winners. It was great that the latest 2 VGL Life Members were on hand to present the trophies.
